If Today Was Your Last Day

I stumbled upon this song while browsing for some new music to listen to. Although many of you have probably heard it already, pay close attention to the lyrics. It is really enlightening and eye opening.

I think we need to all get back to just living life and doing things that makes us happy and forget the past and everything and everybody that ruins our mood. I feel as if too many of us live life in constant fear of the unknown and the fear of what somebody else is going to think or say. Well forget them just live your life and forget the rest. Aim high, chase your dreams, live, and forget the rest because it will all take care of itself!

My best friend gave me the best advice
He said each day's a gift and not a given right
Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind
And try to take the path less traveled by
That first step you take is the longest stride

The Power of Thinking

"The man who acquires the ability to take full possession of his own mind may take possession of anything else to which he is justly entitled." - Andrew Carnegie

Your thoughts have led your life to where it is now. Your thoughts are like a car and depending on whether the thoughts are positive or negative the car will begin to travel in a certain direction. Where you are today is a direct correlation to what you have thought over the last years. If your life is not what you expected it to be at this age then pay close attention to your thoughts and you will soon realize that they have greatly contributed to where you are today. On the brighter side if you change your thoughts you can travel far beyond your wildest dreams. Your thoughts act like a magnet and they attract whatever you are thinking.

A prime example of this came about when I was reading an article the other day. The article was about a man who became a multimillionaire at the age of 20 I believe. He stated that he became a millionaire because all he ever thought about was how his life was going to be when he became a millionaire and just like he had perceived he did in fact become a millionaire and his life was everything he thought it would be.

However the interesting part is, after he reached the multimillionaire status he began to think about what will happen if he lost all this money, how his life would change, and the effect that it would take on him. And just like that in a matter of time he was DEAD BROKE and in DEBT! If you don't believe me I actually posted the story on this blog, so you can check it out if you want here http://everythingmotivation101.blogspot.com/2011/06/how-andrew-fashion-made-25-million.html

His story just goes to show you the power your thoughts have. Start today in viewing your thoughts as a magnet and as a weapon to attract whatever you want from life.

Words Can Change Your Life

What you say really takes a toll on your brain more than you could ever imagine. Your brain is wired to believe everything you say. Although, at first it may not believe whatever you are saying with time if you keep repeating the saying, it will eventually believe it. That's why affirmations work great. With all this is mind start becoming aware of what you say, because believe it or not your mind is beginning to believe what you are saying. I remember fondly a time in university when we had to write some really challenging exams, however every time somebody approached me asking me how the exam was or how do you think the exam is going to be I would always reply with something along the lines of "Oh it's going to be pretty easy." People would look at me like is this kid crazy. I knew that if I just came out and blurted "Damn, it's going to be hard as hell" my mind would believe it and when I went to write it I would already have the belief that this is going to be a hard exam and as a result I would do poorly on the test. I don't know if I studied harder or if it was due to my beliefs, but I would always get better grades than the rest. So keep that in mind the next time you say something is hard. I personally try to never use the word hard or anything like it, and maybe you should do the same.

Law of Attraction Quotes

If you aren't aware of what the law of attraction is than the following quotes will put it into perspective for you.

"Hold a picture of yourself long and steadily enough in your mind's eye, and you will be drawn toward it."

"You control your future, your destiny. What you think about comes about. By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be. Put your future in good hands - your own."

"Remember, whatever you focus upon, increases...When you focus on the things you need, you'll find those needs increasing. If you concentrate your thoughts on what you don't have, you will soon be concentrating on other things that you had forgotten you don't have-and feel worse! If you set your mind on loss, you are more likely to lose...But a grateful perspective brings happiness and abundance into a person's life."

"Anything we focus on we do create. So if we're really angry, for instance, at a war that's going on, or strife, or suffering, we're adding our energy to it. We're pushing ourselves, and that only creates resistance."

"It’s really important that you feel good. Because this feeling good is what goes out as a signal into the universe and starts to attract more of itself to you. So the more you can feel good, the more you will attract the things that help you feel good and that will keep bringing you up higher and higher."

"You are a living magnet. What you attract into your life is in harmony with your dominant thoughts."

Become Self Disciplined

The definition of self discipline in my mind is the ability to make yourself do what you should do when you should do it, whether you feel like it or not. This is really important as this skill will allow you to get well ahead of everyone else if you practice it. An example of being self disciplined is doing your homework instead of going out with your friends to watch movies. PRACTICE SELF DISCIPLINE IN EVERYTHING YOU DO!

Quote of the Day

“How soon 'not now' becomes 'never'.”
