How To Overcome The Limiting Beliefs You Have Set Upon Yourself (*Life Changing*)

Limiting beliefs can be defined as an idea or something you perceive to be true about yourself, which as a result prevents you from moving forward and ultimately creating a better life. In reality the limiting beliefs you have set upon yourself are not true, however it is tremendously hard to let go of those beliefs as they have been engraved in your mind. The enemy of success is limiting beliefs. As a result the purpose of this post is to illustrate ideas and techniques on how to overcome and eliminate your limiting beliefs. It does not happen over night, but like everything worth pursuing in life it takes time. The aftermath of having no beliefs that limit your ability will transpire you to dream big and make those dreams become a reality.

The example of limiting beliefs are endless, however I will share with you a few in order for you to fully comprehend what a limiting belief is. The following are examples:
* "I'm not as good as the next person."
* "Who would hire me?"
* "I can't do this."

Now that you understand what an limiting belief is lets get on to overcoming these dream shattering beliefs. The first step one can take into overcoming these beliefs is to identify it. Just come up with the limiting belief(s) in your head, however DO NOT write it down on paper because psychologist suggest that once we write down something it becomes engraved in our brain thus this is why in school teachers make us write down notes and such. So don't write them down just yet, just identify them in your mind.

Secondly, now that you have identified your limiting belief the next step is to shift your way of thinking. As this is mostly psychology related. Whatever we perceive is ultimately what we believe. So whatever we think of we are most likely to believe it. The second step now is to identify positive beliefs about yourself (they don't necessarily have to be true). Whatever your limiting belief was, associate it to a positive belief. For example if your limiting belief was I'm not a confident person, your positive belief should be somewhere along the lines of "I'm striving to become a confident person." Do this for every limiting belief you have and now is the time to WRITE DOWN the positive beliefs on paper. Psychologist suggest that we should read out these beliefs at least two times a day. I advise you to read it out in the morning to yourself and right before going to sleep and with time your mind will begin to believe it. As the main theory of psychology suggest that whatever the mind perceives it believes. At first it will seem weird as if are just talking to your self and nothing is occurring, however it is taking a toll on your mind. The more you can repeat your positive beliefs to yourself the better. This technique works wonders!  “Limits exist only in the mind."
