Never Surrender: Rockys Inspirational Speech!

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!"

The words spoken by Rocky were truly inspiring and have the power to possibly change lives.Although this speech was from a movie, it still has an huge impact on todays world. A lot of people when something goes wrong, don't take the time out to face responsibility and learn from their actions, and instead they blame somebody else for their wrong doing. Even though this principle of pointing fingures may appear to be a quick and easy way in eliminating your problems by pinning them on somebody else, it actually has the complete opposite effect and harms you way more. For example, now that you blamed someone else for your mistakes you didn't learn from those mistakes and will move through life repeating the same old mistakes. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!

  1. Awesome clip! At the end of the day, it's up to YOU and ONLY YOU. That's it. Simple and plain.

You can't sit there and blame others for what happens.

Either you take control, or be controlled.

  2. I couldn't have said it better myself Parin. You hit the nail right on the head. Unfortunately the sad part is not everybody realizes what you just said and instead they go through their entire life blaming others for their responsibilities. Sad, but true. Just like you said, "either take control, or be controlled!"
